Egg Muffins baked by Savith today

Meet Savith, our non-verbal autistic young adult son who’s always full of surprises! Today, he joined the 3rd session of The Cooking Club – Special Olympics 2025, and guess what? He baked _egg-cellent_ muffins! 

Chopping mushrooms? No sweat for Savith—didn’t matter if they were all different shapes and sizes, he handled it like a pro.  Cracking eggs, though? That used to be his nemesis. But today, he was a total champ!  No constant handwashing after cracking eggs this time, which is HUGE for him. His frequent handwashing behavior? Barely noticeable. Progress in action, folks!

Here’s the twist—while he nailed baking those muffins, when it came to tasting them… not so much. Turns out, eggs aren’t his thing.  But hey, he still braved through it and baked up some seriously yummy muffins. Working with fire and hot temperatures? Handled like a boss with no refusals. 

Savith had a blast hanging out with his club buddies (he LOVES calling them buddies )and it was all smiles and good vibes. Who needs to eat egg muffins when you can just have fun making them, right?  What a champ!”
